Automotive & Motorcycle Components

Turned and stamped components with the volume capacity for production programmes — and an honest answer about IATF 16949.

Automotive work is a volume business with a long memory. A component that is right 999 times out of 1,000 is a problem, not a success, and the cost of a field failure lands nowhere near the machine that made it. That is why the sector cares more about consistency across a production run than about achieving an impressive number once.

Our answer to that is capacity and stability rather than a claim to be a tier-one supplier: 15 automatic lathes and 13 presses running routinely, monthly capacity on simple turned parts above a million pieces, and inspection built into the process rather than bolted on at the end.

Typical Automotive Components

Sensor housings & bodiesTurned bodies with controlled bore tolerance and a sealing face.
Fluid fittings & connectorsBrass and steel fittings for fuel, coolant and hydraulic lines.
Bushings & sleevesPress-fit and flanged bushings for linkages and assemblies.
Shafts & pinsStepped shafts, pivot pins and linkage pins.
Fasteners & insertsThreaded inserts, nuts and special fasteners.
Stamped brackets & platesFlat and formed parts from 16 t to 110 t presses.

IATF 16949 — read this before enquiring. We are not IATF 16949 certified. If your programme requires it — and many automotive OEM programmes do — we are not the right supplier and we would rather you knew that now. If your part is a service, aftermarket, replacement or non-OEM item that does not carry that requirement, we can quote it against our ISO 9001:2015 system.

What we are actually good at here

The parts that suit us best are the ones that come off a lathe or a press in volume and need to be identical every time: bushings, fittings, inserts, pins, spacers, stamped plates. Where the geometry is simple and the quantity is real, an automatic lathe will usually beat a CNC lathe on price per piece — and we will say so even though the machine rate is lower.

Where the part is complex, or the annual volume is small, CNC turning or turn-mill is the better route. Both are in the same building, so the comparison is honest rather than a pitch for one process.

Automotive Components — Common Questions

Are you IATF 16949 certified?
No. We hold ISO 9001:2015. If your programme requires IATF 16949, we are not a suitable supplier and we will tell you straight away rather than waste your time.
What volumes can you handle?
For simple turned parts such as brass nuts or bushings, our capacity exceeds 1,000,000 pieces per month. Complex parts have proportionally lower capacity — it comes down to cycle time, and we will give you a realistic figure for your specific part.
Can you hold the tolerances automotive drawings call for?
±0.01 mm is our standard machining tolerance, and we confirm the critical dimensions on your drawing before quoting. Where a callout is tighter than that, we will say so rather than accept it and hope.
Do you supply inspection records?
Yes — dimensional report, first article inspection and material certificates are available. Tell us what your quality system needs and we will confirm before you order.
